The DEX setup from DEXSetup.exe is available for download from the DEX web site .

DEX requires .NET 4 and will automatically install Microsoft .NET 4

 

If it fails, you can install .NET directly from the DEX website. Click here to install... or can install it from the Microsoft .NET web site. Click here to install...

 

The first dialog allows you to select you installation language. This is NOT the language used in the DEX interface, this is selected from DEX when it is installed.

Select your installation language and click on the OK button to install. Click the Cancel button to cancel installation.

 

 

Next you will see the welcome screen. Click the Next button to continue. Click the Cancel button to cancel installation.

 

 

You will next be asked to select the installation directory for DEX.

Either accept the recommended default location or enter a new one. You can click the Browse button to select a location using the Windows Explorer.

Click the Back button to go back to the previous dialog. Click the Next button to continue. Click the Cancel button to cancel installation.

 

 

Next you can select which DEX components to install. You are recommended to install all the components.

Click the Back button to go back to the previous dialog. Click the Next button to continue. Click the Cancel button to cancel installation.

 

 

The next dialog lets you select the menu folder in the Start Menu.

You can accept the recommended default or enter the folder. Click the Browse button to select an existing folder.

Click the Next button to continue. Click the Cancel button to cancel installation.

 

Now you can optionally associate files with DEX. This lets you double click on the file names in Windows Explorer to get DEX you open them. In additions the files will display the DEX icon.

You are recommended associate files with DEX.

Click the Back button to go back to the previous dialog. Click the Next button to continue. Click the Cancel button to cancel installation.

 

 

The next dialog displays what actions the installer will take.

Click the Back button to go back to the previous dialog. Click the Next button to continue. Click the Cancel button to cancel installation.

 

 

The installation will now start and you will see the installation progress dialog below.

Click the Cancel button to cancel installation.

 

 

DEX is now installed. Click Finish to close last the installation dialog.
