You can upload your parts to the AutoTRAX Community Parts Database. This allows you to share your parts and allow others to benefit from your work.

You must have a valid software license to share your parts.

The parts you upload must be royalty free and anybody has the rights to modify them and customize them for their own use. Be beware of copyright law when you are basing your parts on the work of others. For instance you are most likely to be able to base your work on manufacturer's documentation but you may have problems with copying parts for other EDA software suppliers.

To upload parts, you must place all parts you wish to share in the local parts database in the 'My Shared Parts' folder.

You can add your own sub-directories to the 'My Shared Parts' folder.

When you are ready to upload, click on the upload button in the Library Panel. The dialog box shown below will be displayed.

You must agree to the Free Schematic and PCB Parts (Artwork) License. You can do this by checking the licence accept checkbox above the license.

Click the button to print the license agreement.

 

Click on the Upload button to upload your parts.

Click the Cancel button to cancel uploading your parts.

When your parts have been uploaded, other users will see them in the Community Folder in the Library Panel.
