Manual Updating

To manually check for updates select Get Latest Version from the DEX home ribbon menu. This will check for a newer version and will ask you if you wish to install it it there is one.

 

You can also go directly to the DEX web site to install the latest version.

 

Automatic Updating

DEX will optionally automatically update your copy of DEX every time it starts provided you are connected to the internet.

Once DEX starts it will check if there is a newer version available. This ensures that you are running the latest version. If it detects a new version the following dialog will be displayed.

 

 

Click Yes to install the latest version. Click No it cancel. If you click Cancel then you will prompted if you wish to continue checking each time DEX starts for new versions.

 

 

Click Yes to continue checking for new versions on startup. Click No to cancel automatic checks.

 

If you clicked Yes to install then DEX will download the lastest version .While downloading, the following dialog will be displayed.

 

 

When download is complete, the installer will automatically run and install DEX without prompting you.

Once installed, DEX will start.
