When you select a dimension, it's properties dialog will be displayed in the properties panel. (see opposite).

Start

Here the start point of the dimension is displayed. You can edit either the X or Y coordinate and the start of the dimension will be instantly updated in the viewport.

End

Here the end point of the dimension is displayed. You can edit either the X or Y coordinate and the end of the dimension will be instantly updated in the viewport.

Length

This is the distance between the start and the end point of the dimension.

Offset

The is the offset distance of the dimension line from the start and end points.

Style

Dimension lines come in 3 different styles, vertical, horizontal and aligned. Click on the style button to switch from one style to another.

Text

This is the prefix text for the dimension. If you enter text it is displayed before the numeric value of the dimensions length.

Display Value

If this is unchecked, then the numeric value of the dimensions length will not be displayed. Only the Text (prefix) will be displayed. If the Text is empty then no text will appear above or below the dimension line.

Layer

This drop down combo box will allow you to select which layer the dimension is on.

Locked

You can Lock dimension to prevent them from being accidentally deleted or changed.

Line Style

You can set the line style using the Line Styles properties.
